Women and Healthcare is an evening for women in Ventura County to learn about their health, ask the questions they haven’t had a chance to ask, and leave knowing more about how to take care of themselves.
The evening centers on a panel conversation on women’s health, moderated by Janice L. Miller, Managing Partner of Miller Haga Law Group.
After the panel, we move into guided table topics, a chance to get to know the women beside you on a deeper level, followed by time to mingle.

I kept looking for the room.
So I built it.
Across my career in recruiting and talent acquisition leadership, I searched for women in executive roles, and I rarely found them in the rooms built to bring professionals together. Most of those events were about exchanging business cards. Depth and real connection were what I wanted, and I found that other women wanted them too.
Closing that gap was work I knew how to do. My background is operational. I built recruiting functions from the ground up, scaled teams past 300 people, doubled headcount, and saved companies millions in outsourcing costs. I have also built rooms that bring people together: career fairs that connected 50 or more employers with 200 or more job seekers, and networking events that reached over 100 professionals. Finding the gap and building what was needed has been the thread of the work. Elevate puts that experience to work for women in business, through events and focus groups that bring them together and a strategy practice that helps them decide what comes next.
The need is personal as well as professional. I was surrounded by ambitious women who guided me, pushed me past my comfort zone, and encouraged me. Through that coaching, mentorship, and those relationships, we all grew, each of us becoming a more successful and more powerful version of ourselves.
That is what inspired me to build Elevate. Elevate Insiders is the room I was looking for: evening events open to women in business, and a curated, invitation-only focus group where every session begins with a speaker and moves into candid discussion among peers. Elevate’s strategy practice serves the leader at a decision point who needs a structured read on direction.
